Youth Company 2025
Ekklesia School of Ballet Youth Company is a performance-focused, dance outreach opportunity for students who are serious about their dance training or wish to pursue a career in dance. Youth company is available for students in Ballet 6-10. Students are eligible for company if they meet all of the class requirements for their level. Members of the ESB youth company will be cast in new works created in the Spring Semester. Each new work will consist of challenging contemporary ballet repertoire with an aim to highlight each of the students individual strengths. The students will be coached technically and artistically, and guided in their pursuit of dance by our accomplished faculty.
Apply
Students who wish to apply for company must provide the following:
1. One page typed essay answering the question: What are your goals for this year and for the future in dance? What do you hope to gain from additional performance opportunities?
2. Signed 2025 Youth Company Agreement Form
Application and signed Agreement Forms are due Saturday, January 25th.
The audition schedule is as follows:
1:00-2:30 Wonderland Rep
2:30-3:30 Youth Company Audition: Students will learn a contemporary phrase during the audition. The Youth Company audition has been EXTENDED to 3:30.

Wadsworth Mansion Living Stories Performance (Ballet 9 and up) -- May 29th
Master Class with Guest Faculty- Date TBD
Student Choreography Showcase -- Friday, April 4th
Photo Shoot (Includes 5 edited photos. More edited photos are available at an extra charge.) - Date and Location TBD
ESB Spring Ballet -- Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st. Dancers in Ballet 6 and up will perform a new contemporary piece set by Artistic Director Elisa Schroth. Dancers in Ballet 9 and up will perform in a piece with the professional company.
Requirements
Membership is a privilege we offer to students who demonstrate the highest level of ability and commitment. Students must be enrolled in all classes for their assigned level.
Students in Youth Company must complete the application and participate in the Spring Ballet. Casting in classical ballets is an important part of training and is part of a dancer’s resume.

Youth Company Tuition: $265
Youth Company Performance Fee: $88
Youth Company Jacket (optional): $70
Rehearsals
Tuesdays 7:15-8:00 pm: Ballet 6 and up Youth Company Rehearsal
Saturdays 1:00-2:00 pm: Wonderland Ballet Rehearsal for Ballet 4 through Ballet 10
Saturdays 2:00-3:00 pm : Ballet 8 and up joins Company Rehearsal
All ESB Rehearsals, classes, and performances are subject to change and/or adjustment.
