Joby Talbot's Path of Miracles

British composer Joby Talbot’s Path of Miracles is an exploration of the Camino de Santiago – an ancient Catholic pilgrimage route across northern Spain to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. Comprised of excerpts from historical and sacred documents in several different languages alongside original material by poet Robert Dickinson, this hour-long a cappella work will be led by guest conductor Ellen Gilson Voth.

On a night where the veil between the living and the afterlife is thin, may the voices of Concinnity and the movement of dance reconnect us with ones we have lost.
This concert will explore the stories, lore, and experiences of the veil between the world of the living and dead to allow space to process loss, feel comfort, and find connection.

Featuring poetry by Middetown Youth and Narratio Fellows, music by Iraqi composer Ameen Mokdad and Hartford-based string-ensemble Cuatro Puntos, and dance by Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet.
