Adult Classes
Ekklesia School of Ballet is proud to offer a robust and vibrant adult dance program! Our adult ballet are grounded in classical technique, and offer a great workout in a supportive environment. We believe ballet is for everyone, and we offer adult ballet classes for all levels, from Beginner to Advanced. All adult dancers have the option to perform in the School Spring Ballet.
Beginner ballet is for dancers with little to no dance experience. You will learn the fundamental basics of ballet technique, step by step! Experienced dancers may find it beneficial to take this class on pointe. This class meets Thursdays from 5:15-6:45 pm. Intermediate/Beginner ballet is for dancers with foundational to advanced dance experience. Combinations use the full ballet vocabulary in a simple and academic way through barre work, center work, and across the floor sequences. This class is beneficial for dancers of all levels! Annual Tuition per class: 4 payments of $156.00 (payment made upon registration, and on Nov 5th, Jan 5th, and March 5th.) This class meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm. Intermediate/Advanced ballet is for dancers with several years of dance experience. Combinations are fast-paced and more complicated, and use the full ballet vocabulary in a more choreographic way that helps the dancer further strengthen and explore both technique and artistry. Annual Tuition per class: 4 payments of $156.00 (payment made upon registration, and on Nov 5th, Jan 5th, and March 5th.) This class meets on Mondays from 6:30-8:00 pm. Adult Contemporary/Modern is great for both new and experienced dancers! This all-levels class will offer current dancers an opportunity to expand their movement vocabulary and supplement their ballet technique. This class will offer new dancers a great way to get introduced to expressing themselves through movement. Contemporary dance is a great way to think outside the box of classical ballet, and to cultivate your own unique creative voice.
