Rebecca Salerno

Trainee

A native to Higganum, Connecticut, Rebecca Salerno began dancing at the age of 3 at Miss Alane's Dance Academy where she studied tap, jazz, and ballet. At age 13, Rebecca joined A Needle in the Haystack Theatre under the direction of Nicole Phaneuf. Rebecca spent her summers attending Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet's summer intensives, receiving instruction from renowned dancers and choreographers such as: Darren McIntyre, Rodney Rivera, Juan Rodriguez, and Stephen Rooks, among others. Rebecca attended Colby-Sawyer College and studied dance under former Rockette, Laura Shepherd. In 2021, Rebecca joined Ekklesia School of Ballet and has found herself blessed with many learning and performance opportunities. Rebecca spends her free time dancing, enjoying the outdoors with her dog, Bear, and creating costumes for Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet's company and affiliate school.
